A young boy was walking along the beach as high tide came in. With every crash of the waves he noticed that dozens of seahorses were being cast onto the beach, where they lay gasping and squirming. Hurriedly, he ran to each seahorse he could find and gently tossed them back into the surf. A man watching all this approached the boy and said, "Son, what you are doing won't make a difference."
